Japan: a mixture of openness and unresponsiveness, where 84 percent of Japanese people claim no personal religion.  Yet, most follow the customs of traditional religions, Shinto and Buddhism.  Christians compose only 1 percent of Japan’s population.

Japan remains one of the least evangelized countries in the world, despite its openness to spiritual things.

We have the opportunity to share the love of Christ in Kyoto.  Partnering with long-term missionaries, we will be distributing Christian materials as well as doing one-to-one evangelism amongst university students.  We desire to see the next generation follow Christ and be world leaders with humble hearts.
