Q. |
How
big will my team be? |
A. |
On
each team we try to have somewhere
between seven and 30 participants,
depending on the specific needs
of the country to which we
are going. |
Q. |
Which
team leader in your office
will be leading my trip? |
A. |
Your
team leader is listed on the
flyer you received or downloaded
from our Web site. Your team
leader will be processing your
application, and will be contacting
you about your trip. |
Q. |
Do
I need to get any specific
immunizations? |
A. |
You
should check with your local
health office for current vaccination
recommendations. You can also
get information from the CDC
Web site. We normally recommend
that you get your shots at
the local or county health
clinic. They are usually much
cheaper then a private doctor
or health clinic. Some immunizations
require multiple shots over
a period of time, so please
start early. |
|
How
is my support money handled?
How will it be credited to
my account? |
A. |
First
make sure the support checks
you've received have been
made payable to "Campus
Crusade for Christ."
Next,
download and complete the Investment
Record Form and
make multiple copies of it.
Each week, you will need
to fill out a new Investment
Record Form and make a photocopy
of all checks you've received
that week, and the completed
form. Mail the photocopies,
the checks, and the Investment
Record Form, to our office.
You will need to write your
team leader's name on both
the envelope and the form.
In this way, we can help
to make sure that your checks
are credited towards your
trip.

Q. |
If
I am raising support, should
I call the people to whom
I've sent letters? |
A. |
If
you are raising support,
following up a support letter
you have sent with a phone
call is a very good practice.
It is time-tested and it
works! Most people will not
be offended by a follow-up
call. Talking to them on
the phone can help them to
catch your excitement about
the trip, and let them hear
your passion for taking Jesus
to a lost and dying world!
They may have questions for
you or they may have been
in a hurry when they opened
the mail and did not read
through your letter in detail.
Your call will give them
an opportunity to ask questions,
and it will bring attention
to your letter. Always pray
before you call and trust
God for the results.

Q. |
Can
I reimburse my miscellaneous
travel expenses and my immunizations,
and if so, how? |
A. |
You
may be able to reimburse specific
ministry-related charges if
you raise more than your support
goal. Talk to your team leader
directly about what may be
reimbursed. In any case, you
will need to have all receipts
for any reimbursement. |
